Kuungana analysed the power sector decarbonisation plans proposed in Bulgaria’s NECP and compared these plans against those of other EU member states, primarily in Eastern Europe. Evaluated where Bulgaria’s plans could be improved, with increased levels of ambition, and the strategies that could be deployed to mitigate the impact on the communities affected by, for example, coal mine closures.
